Detailed review of Thai class

I signed up for the Private Thai Cooking Class. The ordering process was smooth on the website, pretty straightforward. They sent a list of ingredients beforehand, which was super helpful. The chef connected easily via Zoom, and his camera quality was decent. He walked me through making Pad Thai and a curry. I had a small issue with an ingredient substitution, but the chef adapted well. The class was about 2 hours, and we cooked two full dishes. Delivery isn't really a thing here since it's online, but the pre-class info was timely. Overall, a solid experience and I learned a lot about Thai flavors.

Amazing Paella Class!

I had such a fantastic time with the Paella Cooking Class! The chef was absolutely brilliant, so engaging and really made the experience special. I learned so much and my paella turned out perfectly, even better than I expected. I will absolutely be booking another class soon and telling everyone about this! What a great concept!

Good value for Date Night

I was looking for something fun to do with my partner and found the Date Night Cooking Class. The price for two people was reasonable, especially with the holiday gift card deal going on at the time. It felt like a good experience for what we paid. Definitely a better deal than going out to a fancy restaurant.

Learned to make Sushi!

OMG, I just took the Sushi Making Class! It was so much fun, for real. I thought it would be hard but the chef was super patient. I totally messed up my first roll but then got the hang of it. My sushi actually looked decent by the end! My friends are all asking me to make it now, lol. Definitely a cool way to spend an evening.

Decent, but could improve

I took the Risotto Masterclass. The chef was knowledgeable and the recipes were good. My risotto turned out pretty tasty, which was the main goal. The class itself was well-structured. My only minor gripe was the internet connection on the chef's side seemed a little unstable at times, causing a slight delay. It wasn't a deal-breaker, but it did interrupt the flow a couple of times. Customer service was responsive when I had a question before booking. Good overall, but better internet stability would make it perfect.

Is there a student discount? I'm trying to learn some new skills on a budget.

J Jessica Diaz 1 month ago
Nah, I don't think they do student discounts. I looked into it for myself a while back and didn't see anything like that.

Afaik, they don't have a student or military discount. Their deals are usually around holidays or for gift cards, not specific groups.

I'm thinking of getting a few classes. Do they do any kind of discount if you book more than one?

J Jennifer T. 3 weeks ago
I haven't seen specific discounts for booking multiple individual classes at once, but they do have a 'cooking club' membership that gives you a deal if you want to do a bunch over time.

E Elizabeth D. 3 weeks ago
Sometimes they have bundles around holidays, like a date night package, but usually, specific multi-class discounts are for the club or corporate stuff, not just buying two random classes, afaik.

Are these classes actually legit? Like, real chefs and everything, not just some random person?

S Susan N. 3 weeks ago
Yeah, they're totally legit. I did the French pastry class, and the chef was super professional, clearly knew her stuff. It's a proper setup.

Dude, yeah. My chef for the sushi class was awesome, really experienced. It's not like a rando YouTube video, it's a real class.

What if I can't find a specific ingredient? Like, if the recipe calls for something super obscure I can't get at my regular grocery store.

J James S. 2 days ago
They usually give you alternatives or tips on where to find things in the pre-class info. Or you can just ask your chef during the class, they're pretty good about it.

I had that with a special kind of pepper for the Mexican class. I messaged them beforehand and they told me what I could swap it for. It was fine.

I'm looking at the gnocchi making class. Do I need to buy all the ingredients myself? Just wondering if there's any kit included or anything.

S Sarah Wright 6 days ago
You gotta get your own ingredients. They send you a list beforehand, though, so you know exactly what to grab.

C Chloe A. 6 days ago
Nah, no kit. It's just the class. They give you a grocery list, so you can pick stuff up from your local store. Makes sense since it's live and you're in your own kitchen.
